Counselors, Therapists:

Could you benefit from a case consultation?

Then a telephone call or on-line meeting may be helpful.

Consultations are generally brief meetings lasting typically 5 to 60 minutes.

Conditions:

As the client, you agree to the following conditions in order to obtain a  consultation:

1. The consultant can only rely on the information provided by the client. As such, the consultant may not be privy to the full range of information affecting the client's case or situation. Therefore, the client's reliance on any information provided by the consultant is solely at the risk of the client. The client holds harmless the consultant for the service offered.

2. The value of a consultation is to gain a new perspective on a situation or to be offered alternative approaches to consider with the view to resolving a problem. However, there is no guarantee that the service will be helpful.

3. The client agrees to pay costs as set out below and may be required to make a payment prior to receiving the service.

4. All matters remain confidential with the following exceptions:

• Any past or imminent harm or abuse to a child currently younger than 18 years of age will be reported to proper authorities.

• Any imminent threat of harm to self or to another adult will be reported either to proper authorities and/or to other persons who may be required to intervene as necessary.

5. Service is provided on a closed basis, meaning you must agree that you or your designate or proxy will not call me to court or ask to provide a report for court purposes.

Fees:       

Consultations are billed out on the basis of an hourly fee set at $200.00/hr. Payment is through PayPal, eTransfer or cheque - if agreed upon in advance. 

Clients provide payment by PayPal (PayPal excepts major credit cards) at the end of each session. 

Confidentiality:

All matters remain confidential with the following exceptions:

1. Any past or imminent harm or abuse to a child currently younger than 18 years of age will be reported to proper authorities.
2. Any imminent threat of harm to self or to another adult will be reported either to proper authorities and/or to other persons who may be required to intervene as necessary.
3. Consultations are provided on a closed basis, meaning you must agree that you or your designate or proxy will not call me to court or ask to provide a report for court purposes.
4. For quality assurance and in case of concern or complaint about service, all meetings will be recorded.
5. Information about yourself can be used to pursue payment in the event of non-payment.
